CFA Society of Alabama Membership

Business Meeting

There are three classes of members of the Society:

Regular Members, Affiliate Members, and Retired Members.

REGULAR MEMBERS

Dues:

$125 annually

Privileges: 

Regular Members have full Society privileges, including the right to vote and hold office in the Society.

Admission: 

In 2017, the Board of Directors approved an amendment to the Bylaws authorizing the Society President to admit Affiliate Members without prior consent from the Board of Directors, subject to revocation by a simple majority of Directors at any time.  Individuals applying for Affiliate Membership, must still submit their application to CFA Institute.  If approved by CFA Institute, the application will then be forwarded to the Society for approval. Applications for Affiliate Membership should contain references, and it is incumbent upon the Society President, or a delegated officer, to contact those references. All dues are submitted, upon approval, directly to CFA Institute.

AFFILIATE MEMBERS

Dues:

$50 annually

Privileges: 

Retired Members have all the privileges of Regular Members, except the privilege to vote or hold office in the Society.

Admission: 

Admission procedures for Retire Members are the same as those for Regular Members. The Society President reserves the right to make the determination whether one qualifies as a Retired Member and for reduced dues.
