Mike Anderson, CFA

President
Mike Anderson, CFA, is the Chief Financial Officer of Brownlee-Morrow Enterprises, Inc, a leading manufacturer and distributer of liquid and air handling equipment for industrial applications. As CFO, Mr. Anderson oversees the accounting function and guides the capital allocation, funding, and growth planning process. Prior to joining Brownlee-Morrow, Mr. Anderson was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Collateral Holdings, LLC, and has also served as the Treasurer of a $2 billion bank and Chief Investment Officer of a $200 million insurance company. Mike is a graduate of The University of Alabama and has been a charterholder since August 2018.

Ivan Truss, CFA

Treasurer
Ivan Truss, CFA is a Financial Advisor at Shades Creek Wealth Advisors where he works with clients to develop financial plans and investment strategies, with a special focus on alternative investments and structured products. Previously, Ivan worked at Brasfield & Gorrie, where he was part of the Corporate Strategy & Investments group, performing due diligence on private equity, real estate, and private debt investment opportunities. Ivan is a graduate of Samford University and has been a charterholder since April 2021.

Vallery Brown, CFA

Vice President
Vallery Brown has extensive experience across the energy and financial industries. She currently serves as the Vice President of Financial Structuring for Southern Power Company, where she leads an organization responsible for market analysis, financial valuation, and tax equity structuring for energy facilities. She’s held multiple leadership positions at Southern Power, including developing an organization responsible for energy trading and contract optimization for renewable assets located in energy markets across the U.S. Vallery also served as an assistant bond portfolio manager at Protective Life and has been a CFA charterholder since 2006. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Finance and German and a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Alabama. Vallery also serves on the board of Red Mountain Grace.

Steven Elseroad

Secretary
Steven Elseroad, CFA, CPA is as an Audit Senior Manager in KPMG’s Birmingham office. In his role with KPMG, Steven provides professional audit services to financial institutions ranging in size from community banks to multinational groups in accordance with PCAOB and AICPA requirements and U.S. GAAP. His audit experience includes SEC filings, IPOs, and debt and equity offerings. Steven currently serves at KPMG’s co-lead for Banking & Capital Markets industry automation group and serves as a KPMG National Instructor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and master’s degree in Accountancy from Samford University. Steven is a CPA and has been a CFA charterholder since 2019.

Jason Murray, CFA
Mr. Murray joined Stifel in 2015 amidst the merger with Sterne Agee and has expertise in interest rate risk analytics and helping financial institutions solve problems related to asset/liability management. He regularly provides board and management education, which he derived from his experience developing balance sheet solutions for financial institutions. He developed the firm’s original ALM model and maintains several of the firm’s existing analytical tools. Mr. Murray is a graduate of UAB with a B.S. in Economics and a M.A. in Finance from the University of Alabama. He is a CFA charterholder.
Justin Mayfield, CFA
Justin Mayfield serves on the Client Service team at Vulcan Value Partners, a long-only equity manager in Birmingham, AL. Prior to joining Vulcan Value Partners, Justin served as Vice President and Treasurer for Ligon Industries, LLC, where he was responsible for managing corporate defined benefit pension plans, including setting the strategic asset allocation, manager selection, and ongoing due diligence for current and prospective managers. Previously, Justin served as Consultant and Institutional Sales executive for FactSet Research Systems, Inc.
Stephen Daniels, CFA
Mr. Daniels is a portfolio manager at Regions Investment Management where he is head of the Growth and Equity Income Strategies. Mr. Daniels is also a member of the RIM Investment Strategy Group. His industry experience began in 2003. Mr. Daniels graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s in science and business administration.
Trey Cartledge, CFA
Trey Cartledge, CFA holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama, a master's degree from Samford University, and is a CAIA charterholder. Mr. Cartledge has worked in the finance industry since 2013, holding various positions in the fixed income asset management and insurance sectors. Trey has held the roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary for CFA Society Alabama and has been a charterholder since 2017.
Santosh Singh, CFA
Santosh is a vice president and works as a valuation analyst in Balance Sheet Management group in the Corporate Treasury division at Regions Bank. His job responsibilities include, but not limited to, estimating fair value for the bank's portfolio loans (residential mortgages, commercial and industrial, commercial real estate, consumer unsecured) using discounted cash flow methodologies (DCF) via modeling contractual and expected cash flows over the life of the loan and discounting them to present value using an all-in market yield in an analytical framework system. Valuation team further collaborates with other treasury teams for various corporate strategic initiatives such as portfolio acquisition, balance sheet optimization etc.
In his spare time, Santosh enjoys reading, yoga, and tennis.
Adrian A. Hughes, CFA
Mrs. Hughes received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance and an M.A. in Finance from The University of Alabama. Mrs. Hughes joined Regions Bank (previously AmSouth Bank) in August 1997 as an investment analyst and again in July 2012 as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. In this role, Mrs. Hughes serves as a portfolio manager with a focus on short term fixed income strategies. In between her two stints at Regions Bank, Adrian worked as a senior investment analyst from 2003-2012 at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama where she provided accounting and analysis for investment portfolios along with the preparation of quarterly and annual insurance regulatory reports. She currently serves on an advisory board for Samford University and on the Board of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham’s Defined Benefit Plan for Priests. Mrs. Hughes is a CFA® charterholder and is a current board member and past president of the CFA Society of Alabama.
Daniel Sanabria, CFA
Daniel Sanabria, CFA, serves as the principal and CIO of Sigma93 Capital Management LLC, in addition to a visiting faculty position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he teaches a variety of Finance and investment courses. Daniel previously served as Director of Trading and Operations for Theta Holdings LLC, a registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).
Daniel holds a BA in Economics, Analysis and Policy and a Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) from UAB. During UAB’s December 2015 Graduation, he served as the Graduate Commencement Speaker. He also has held FINRA Series 3 and 30 licenses.
